North Sulawesi Islands to Highlands Tour 12D/11N

Day 01: Arrival in Manado

Manado is the capital of North Sulawesi with about 450.000 inhabitants; most of them are belonging to the ethnic group called Minahasa. This is a modern town and with one of the highest standard of living in the eastern of Indonesia. The town is clean and has some of modern Malls, shopping centre and good restaurant.

• Upon arrival at Sam Ratulangi Airport

• Transfer to Bunaken Island
• Check in and overnight at the cottage on Bunaken Island

Day 02: Bunaken National Marine Park

• Snorkeling or scuba diving (Boat trip)
• Night at in the cottage
• Notes; Scuba diving fees & snorkeling equipment doesn’t included in the tour cost

Day 03: Bunaken National Marine Park

• Snorkeling or scuba diving (Boat trip)
• Dolphin tour around Siladen Island & Bunaken Island
• Night at in the cottage

Day 04: Siladen Island – Lihaga Island

• After breakfast explore the islands (use a boat trip)
• Snorkeling & fishing
• Set up a tent for our camp on white sandy beach
• Enjoy live music is presented by local guides and lighted by bonfire, singing & dancing
• Barbeque fish and green vegetables are special meals for dinner

Day 05: Lihaga Island – Tangkoko Nature Reserve

• The trip continues via boat trip cruising to Tangkoko Nature Reserve
• Snorkeling & fishing
• Check in and overnight at a Homestay near park
• Observing Macaque nigra and Tarsius spectrum appears up late evening
• Tarsius spectrum is one of endemic nocturnal primate species that found in the North Sulawesi

Day 06: Tangkoko Nature Reserve – Bangka & Gangga Island

• After breakfast the trip continues via a boat to Bangka Island
• Snorkeling & fishing
• After lunch keep boat trip cruises slowly to Gangga Island
• Overnight at villager houses

Day 07: Gangga Island

• After breakfast visiting the villages, schools, mosque or church where you can communicate deeply with local people, what they do regularly and what they hope in a life
• Basically do ecotourism for the children and for the community in generally
• Snorkeling & fishing
• Overnight at villager houses

Day 08: Gangga Island – Mantehage & Bunaken Island

• After breakfast boat trip cruises to Mantehage Island
• Snorkeling & fishing
• Observing school of dolphins which usually jumps over
• Visiting Bajoe sea ethnic group who build simple wooden house over a reef
• After lunch return to Bunaken Island
• Check in and overnight at the cottage on Bunaken Island

Day 09: Bunaken Island – Manado – Tomohon

• After breakfast transfer to Manado, onwards drive via car to Minahasa highland, setting up a challenging tour on River rafting
• Visiting the Lake Linow and Woloan village where you can see knocked down (Wooden replaced houses) which designed with Minahasan motif
• Check in and overnight at Onong’s Palace in Tomohon

Day 10: Tomohon (Minahasa highland)

• After breakfast start hiking through dense forest on Minahasa highland
• Here exploring wild animals & tropical plants along the way
• Late evening return to the accommodation for overnight
• Check-in and overnight at Onong’s Palace in Tomohon
• (Dinner, Breakfast, and Lunch included)

Day 11: Tomohon – Mt Mahawu – Tondano – Airmadidi – Manado

• After breakfast drive early morning to Mt Mahawu for spectacular sunrise view and crater of volcanic mountain
• You should see nepenthes or pitcher plant grows on grassland
• Enjoy exotic scenery terrace of rice fields all around
• Lunch is served at Floating Restaurant over Tondano Lake
• The Journey continues, driving down to Airmadidi where you can see ancient of Minahasan that described by Stone Megalith statues
• Return to Manado for overnight at the hotel

Day 12: Manado – Airport

• After breakfast transfer to the airport for your next destination
• End of our service
