Day 02: Bunaken Marine Park

Bunaken National Marine Park is home to thousands of different species of fish, coral, endangered marine mammals and reptiles, birds, mollusk of mangrove forest species. Bunaken National Park is also home of various exceptional species in the world that make it very challenging place for scientific purposes.

Day 03: Bunaken – Manado – Tangkoko

  • Return to Manado and then 2h driving to Batu Putih Village visit local whisky processing, Nutmeg plantation
  • Lunch at the side of Lake Tondano
  • Check in at the Homestay near the park
  • Jungle trekking to see Sulawesi endemic animal such as Black Macaque Nigra, Hornbill, Butterflies, the smallest primates in the world Tarsius Spectrum and other rain forest life

Day 04: Tangkoko – Tomohon

Tangkoko Batuangus – Dua Saudara Nature Reserve is a small Nature Reserve with a very rich wild life which means it is possible to see many animals in a short time. Here the chance to see hornbill A among the best in Sulawesi. The hornbill is a bird with a great symbolic meaning for the indigenous people in Indonesia as it represents the heaven.

The reserve is small around 8.876 hectares and has a fertile volcanic soil. It is situated on the coast with sandy black volcanic sand beaches. The park has about 160 species out of which 50 are endemics. For example the smallest primate Tarsius Spectrum, Black monkey Macaque Nigra, Maleo birds, king fisher’s just to mention a few. Many are in danger extinction.

Day 05: Tomohon – Volcano – Natural Hot Spring

Tomohon is a small municipality the city is developed very fast, surrounded by 2 (two) volcanoes (Mt. Lokon and Mt. Mahawu). Here is the centre for volcanic studies and has beautiful view on the coconut plantation below. You are some 750 m above sea level; the climate is mild with pleasant day and cool fresh air. In the local market of Tomohon: Dogs, Jungle rats, fruit bats are being sold as foods and some Piton snake as well. You also find vendors selling delicious sweet made of coconut, bananas, palm sugar and rice.

  • Early morning trekking Mahawu Mountain 1311 m above sea level to see spectacular sunrise
  • Over look Manado, Bunaken Marine Park, Bangka Island from the top and here on the top we will see Pitcher plan flower/Carnivore Orchid
  • Visit Tomohon local market where Rats, Dogs, Snakes, Bats are sold as a food

Day 07: Manado – Jakarta – Banten Province

Due north of Serang, on the coast are the few of fragments of the great maritime capital of Banten Sultanate where the Dutch and English first landed in Java to secure trade and struggle for economic supremacy

Day 08: Banten

Baduy Tribe Tour

Baduy Tribe lives in the Arrive area about 5.101 ha, in Kanekes Village. Leuwidamar Sub district, Lebak Regency, about 38 km from Rangkasbitung the City of Lebak Regency. The Baduy consists of two parts:

Baduy Dalam (Inner Baduy) Live in three Kampong’s; Cikeusik, Cikertawarna and They have their own government, the tradition government. There are three heads of ethnic group as the head of government. We call them PUUN, that is Cikeusik, Cibeo

Baduy Luar (outer Baduy) Live in the outside of the three Kampong’s. There are 53 kampung in the Baduy. There is a tradition community; they have the firm tradition law Cikertawarna and Cibeo PUUN’S. They are having eight assistant which have the same function and duties and called JARO. The most of the Baduy are Farmers. They plant Huma Rice (Padi Huma/padi ladang) and other plantation. Beside farmers the make religion is “Sunda Wiwitan”, they believe only One God, SANG HYANG TUNGGAL and as handicrafts like Koja’s bag, palm sugar, woven products and less are merchants. Their creature, arrange and decider in the live.

  • Transfer to Ciboleger (The Gate to Baduy tribe) and takes around 3 hours through country side and will arrive there around 1100 am and directly trekking to Kadu Ketug, Kadu Jangkung and Kadu Keter then trekking to Gajeboh, ( Outer Baduy or Black Baduy )
  • Gajeboh is the Border between outer and inner Baduy, while you will see and enjoy the simple life of Baduy community and feel how rich culture and nature of Baduy tribe
  • Take rest for a few minutes in Gajeboh and we will having lunch here
  • Lunch Box are provided
  • In the afternoon about 16.00 we will trekking up to the hill of Gajeboh crossing the famous bamboo bridge to see the activities of Baduy community (Rice field, how they make Brown sugar/palm sugar, Bananas garden etc)
  • We will also take shower/swimming at the Baduy river
  • After Dinner at 20.00 we will see the Traditional music (Baduy Gamelan Angklung and Suling (Bamboo flute)

Day 09: Baduy Tribe

  • Early in the morning trekking up to the hill to see sunrise
  • Breakfast
  • Trekking up to Cicakal, stop over here to see view around the village (to see the local peoples make cloth, wooden bag from skin of wood, Bracelets etc)
  • Then continuing to Cigula crossing other bamboo bridge
  • From Cigula, if possible we visit the Baduy lake on the way to Kadu Jangkung and back to Ciboleger

Day 10: Banten – Taman Mini Indonesia Indah – Bogor (West Java)

Day 11: Bogor (West Java)

Bogor’s main attraction is its world-class botanical garden, which is a vast expanse of luxuriant greenery in the middle of the city, known as Kebun Raya (Great Garden), covering an area are around 80 Hectares. The gardens contain streams and Lotus ponds and more than 15,000 species of trees and plants, including 400 types of magnificent palms. The orchid houses are reputed to contain more than 3000 Orchid Varieties
